Three Vietnamese dishes in the top best mixed dishes in the world

Mixed pho, salad and rare beef with lemon are on the list of 100 best mixed vegetable dishes in the world, voted by Taste Atlas.

    Pho Tron ranked highest (35th), with 4.1/5 points, described as "a variation of traditional Vietnamese pho, popular in Hanoi and in the summer".

    According to Taste Atlas, pho tron ​​has no broth and is eaten dry. The meat is sliced ​​and marinated with salt, ginger, pepper, garlic, lime juice, and five-spice powder, then stir-fried and mixed with fresh herbs (basil, coriander, lettuce, bean sprouts), fried onions, and pho noodles, with a sauce of vinegar, fish sauce, and sugar. The dish is often garnished with peanuts and chili, and served with lemon.

    The other two Vietnamese dishes are Nom, ranked 45th with 4 points, and Rare beef with lemon, ranked 65th with 3.9 points.

    "Nom is the name in the North, while in the South it is called goi. Nom is often mixed with dipping sauce and served with shrimp crackers. Common ingredients include vegetables such as cabbage, radish, papaya, green mango, banana flower, sliced ​​cucumber, and shredded meat or seafood," the culinary site wrote.

    The lemon beef is described as a combination of thinly sliced ​​beef, rare with lime or kumquat juice, then mixed with fried garlic. This dish is usually presented on a bed of fresh herbs, onions and garnished with red chili, crushed peanuts and fried onions. In particular, Taste Atlas suggests lemon beef as an appetizer, accompanied by fish sauce and alcoholic beverages. The top 10 dishes include Dakos - fresh tomatoes mixed with cheese and bread (Greece), Greek salad - salad with vegetables and cheese (Greece), Houria - cooked grated carrots (Tunisia), Caprese - tomatoes, mozzarella and basil (Italy), Fattoush - traditional Middle Eastern salad (Lebanon), Kısır - fresh vegetables and bread (Turkey), Shopska salata - fresh vegetable salad (Bulgaria), Pecel - mixed vegetables with peanut dressing (Indonesia), Smacked cucumber - spicy cucumber salad (China) and Piyaz - mixed white beans served with kebab (Türkiye).

The votes for the dishes are based on votes from readers around the world, and some experts.
