Grilled one-sun-dried squid is the best way to prepare it. You have to adjust the temperature when grilling because if the temperature is too high, the squid will cook quickly, hard on the outside but still raw on the inside. During the grilling process, the squid gradually turns light yellow and gives off a fragrant smell.
"Cut the grilled squid into small pieces, eat with fish sauce and chili or chili sauce. Don't forget to have a glass of cold beer," Taste Atlas suggests.
Topping the list is kalamar tava, a traditional Turkish dish, with 4.6 points. The squid is cleaned, cut into thick slices, soaked in milk, then dipped in a mixture of flour, yeast and salt and fried until crispy. The squid pieces can be seasoned with herb powder or chili powder, dipped in sauce and a few slices of lemon. The dish is often served as an appetizer.
